The Sovabazar Sree Ramakrishna Sarada Siksha Niketan is purely a Social Service Organization (Reg. No. S/1L/27647) having a non-political and non-commercial character. Its establishment was the result of the decision of the founder members for vision of social work, which would engage in a continuous study of our social issues and problems.
Sri Ramakrishna, well known as the “Paramahamsa”, Is the brightest star that rose on the spiritual firmament of the India of the nineteenth century. Born of the pious parents in the little village of Kamarpukur in the remote part of the Bengal (b.18th February 1836) he spent his early life there itself.
If the motherly love inhabiting the hearts of all the mothers in the world were to be put together and churned, the nectar that would issue forth would perhaps approximate to Sri Sarada Devi. Sri Ramakrishna left her in this world to uphold the ideal of universal motherhood.

All souls in this world are the great gift of God. We are His sons and hence to our ideas and belief the term orphan is a word, which is not exact to identify a son of our great creator and a brother of our own. From that point of view we feel that it is our duty to give shelter to the orphans and provide them with some social security.
Swamiji advised “Education is a manifestation of perfection already in man”. But even being the sons of our great father, the Creator, many in our country remain deprived of basic education. In spite of the slogans that education is a fundamental right, the fact remains that education is yet to reach all the corners of our country. It is Swamiji’s bold advice and gospel that has motivated us to set up a primary school at our Bagnan Project site where children will get admitted and primary and basic education will be imparted according to his ideals and styles.
It is superfluous to mention how important computer is in our life. It is also not unknown that in addition to printed books that we need for our education, computer constitutes a very significant role in the field of basic education also. So far as affluent society is concerned, having a computer is not a subject to be discussed about. But for children living around the poverty level, exposure to use of computer more or less is still a sort of dream. Keeping this situation in mind, we have started Vivekananda Academy – Computer Training Centre in our Project at Bagnan. Courses of Computer application in Basic and Hardware and Software training is going on. We will start shortly Job Oriented courses like Computerised Accounting (Tally), Multimedia, Web Page & Website Designing, Blue Java, DTP etc. so that all economically backward children get the opportunity to learn computer and its use.
SERVICE TO MAN IS SERVICE TO GOD – with this object of Holy Mother, Sree Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda ‘Sovabazar Sree Ramakrishna Sarada Siksha Niketan’ has started its humble journey of offering its services to man. Our motto is to follow the foot steps of Swamiji, cherishing in our minds his great philosophy of Man making and Nation building. A few humble souls associated with Sovabazar Sree Ramakrishna Sarada Siksha Niketan dream of an India to be peopled by strong, healthy, educated and spiritually developed men. Swamiji once said that he would wish to be born and reborn in this country so long a mere dog in this land would go hungry. His messages and gospels have exhorted us. His command-like advice: AWAKE ! AWAKE ! AND STOP NOT TILL THE GOAL IS REACHED has inspired us to stand by our fellow men. We are determined to do so and thus think ourselves blessed if a little part of his ocean like vast philosophy be turned into reality through our humble efforts.
Our vision and efforts to offer our services through the path shown by Swamiji are going to take the shape of reality at Bagnan, Dist: Howrah as per various projects and activities enumerated below: ~
